A Great Place to Work. . .

I work with great people. If you don’t look forward to seeing the people you work with, I’m sorry. I wish you did. We’re all friends and we have some really funny conversations. They’re usually very brief b/c we have work to do but they’re more like, shall we call them “Flash conversations”. Like a conversation drive by. Here’s an example of one today. . .

Bill: Hey Bob, can you crack my back for me?

Bob: Sure (back cracking takes place)

Chris: You know, I’m not going to say anything but I wonder why I get overlooked for the back crack. I’m a good back cracker.

Bill: Well, Bob introduced me to the hands behind the head back crack which I’ve found works much better than the arm crossed on the chest back crack.

Chad: Doesn’t the behind the head crack scare you? Scares me.

Bill: No, it really focuses the crack on the middle of the back which is what I need. It’s a good crack.

Chris: I’m a good back cracker. Aren’t I Brian? (who just walked around the corner) I cracked your back.

Brian: Yeah. . .it’s a good crack.

Bill: Hmmm. . I don’t know.

Chris: I’m not saying we have to have one but if anybody is ever up for a back crack competition. . .

Chad: So what about (some other random topic that never referenced Chris’ back crack competition comment and had nothing to do with what we were talking about. It was over. We all recognized it and moved on to something else)

And so it goes, a great conversation in :30 seconds or less. A drive by conversation.

Why I like these so much is b/c when I leave the conversation I’ll often review the conversation when I’m driving somewhere and I’m telling you I laugh out loud at it again.

They’re funny these little conversations of ours.
