What do you think about the title of this post? Look’s kind of silly doesn’t it. Didn’t the majority of you say. . .Oh Bill, you spelled “losing” wrong! Here’s the thing. . .I know I did. I did it on purpose. You know why? Because I think that this is the most misspelled word in our vocabulary. I’m not kidding you. It amazes me the number of very intelligent people that I know who write things like. . .
“I have to do this or I will loose my investment”.
“I loose my car keys all the time”.
“How do you keep loosing your wallet?!”
People please listen to me. . you do not LOOSE things! You lose things!!!!
Please work on this. . . Let’s say it together. . .LOSE, lose, lose, lose, los, lo, l. .. . .

Just out of curiosity, when they are SAYING IT, how do you know how their mind is SPELLING IT?
Yes, you are correct. What I meant to say is that they “write” things. I will make the change.
I suck at spelling so I didn’t even hesitate when I read the title. Good point though.
Something that annoys me… Placing …’s after a ! at the end of a blog post title!
I with communicateit…I didn’t even blink an eye at the title. Any of my firends who have been in an IM conversation know waht I’m talknig about.
For me it’s almost more typos than spelling…but I am a bad speller.
The problem with loose and lose is that if you put one but mean the other it won’t show up in spell check!
This bothers me to. I no of at least for people in my life that do this. I’m like…did you loose you’re English text book?! Their are alot of words people misspell. Its’ nerve wracking! Write or wrong…its just sad.
Okay, seriously, I can’t stop laughing after reading BT’s comment.
I’m guilty of this all the time. With all of the advanced technology someonone has to come up with a way to not only check spelling, but to check and make sure that the word is used properly.
There’s a million dollar idea!
You hang out with stoopid poeple.
Here’s mine…YOUR and YOU’RE
All the time. It’s everywhere.
welcome to my editing world. i have to read stuff like this every day… i’m saving the world one apostrophe, captial letter, and comma at a time.
We need to hire a new editor quick. Peachy’s comment had 3 errors – no capital letters present.
The one I hate the most…sell and sale.
I get resumes all the time from people who say “I love to sale.”
